A little bit of my journey
Hello All,
I was a little bit confused about the best way to start participating in this group. That's why I decided to summarize my journey so far.. even if it sounds more like whinging. I'm 36 years old, from Colombia and all my family is over there, (great friends and partner here) no kids, diagnosed middle of December 2015 with triple negative, mastectomy, 3 months of the AC treatment, I am doing the weekly one which I will finish in July. I got my induced menopause and its side effects. But, luckily I had the chance with IVF. I stopped working and I got few kilos more.
I am looking forward to my recovery. However, there are many doubts and questions about the future. I will write some of them. So, maybe we could help each other..
1. Reconstruction: Any suggestions about procedures? time in the public system? any idea of private costs? time after chemo?
2. Work: how people find to come back to work?
3. Triple negative: recommendations or strategies in order to not focus on the chances of having cancer again.
Thanks so much,
