A beautiful but heartbreaking day....
Day 16 - after round four.
No post yesterday; Day 15
** Yesterday was a heavy day, beautiful and heartbreaking all at the same time. Yesterday we said farewell to you......We cried, we laughed, we remembered. We sat in quiet reflection. We told the memories we have of you. Your family told me of how you prayed for ME.....I wanted to be invisible on this day, but nothing but your love and strength was showered over me through your dear family and friends.....they told me that you will be looking after me and ask you for strength.....I still cannot believe you are no longer with us Rosa, but I know you will be watching over me, over all of us......I will take your strength through the rays of the sun, see your love in the flowers new bloom, take your comfort from the sound of the rain.......This is not goodbye...It's simply I'll miss you until we meet again Xx <3 xX **
I had my Oncology appointment yesterday morning. We discussed the side effects I had from the first round of Docetaxel. They were mostly common, although the rash couldn't be fully linked to the chemo even though it's possible that it was.....confusing! The sweats, restlessness and hallucinations were a definite side effect from the Tramadol, so it's now on my do not take list! We also discussed how I was feeling mentally and physically. I told her of the after effects including that this time the "fog' hasn't lifted. I was assured it's common in this stage and I'm doing really well.
The Doc seemed confident I would cope with the next round now we have a plan in place to combat the side effects. of course if anything weird happens again off to hospital I go....
Tuesday is round 5....so I will try to enjoy the last few days of "normal"
Have a great day!
