Did I ever answer this? I had a DIEP double reconstruction done with Dr P. He only does private and the gap was $20K!!!! ($10K for 1 breast). Implants are cheaper. I stayed in hospital 10 days as I didn't want to go home with drains in. You can go home earlier, although it is a HUGE recovery.
I did the nipple reconstruction with him also and that is when he did revisions to the scar line and a bit of fat transfer to even things out. Then I got the tatooing done. Jill comes to his office 1x week.
I have a photo blog if you want to look at the results. I feel it was worth the expense but its a huge $$ sacrifice!!
