1st surveillance scan

So yesterday I had my first surveillance scan (12 months since diagnosis).
They picked up 2 "indeterminant" areas in my affected breast. Surgeon is sure they are post surgical changes but med onc wants them both core biopsied.
I can feel both lumps (picked up 1 about 3 wks ago and surgeon was happy to leave it until yesterday's imaging, second 1 can only feel since it was pointed out yesterday).
Surely I cant be unlucky enough for it to be anything to worry about right?!?
Biopsy appmt is next mon.
  • Good luck @JoeyLiz..I found a lump in my affected breast 14 months after my op and it was necrotic tissue, it eventually disappeared on its own. Glad you're onto it .
  • That's a Bugger - !   All the best for the biopsies, @JoeyLiz.  Yep, if in doubt, get checked out.  xx

  • @JoeyLiz That must be so worrying but it's probably just your doctor doing the right thing and checking it out.  Fingers crossed and let us know how you go.
  • It's nerve wracking but your oncologist is doing the right thing. I discovered a lump (armpit, other side) while I was still having chemo - unpleasant wait for the biopsy report but all well. A weird thing I had never heard of but, important part, harmless. Best wishes for a good outcome.
  • Gargh! I'll keep everything crossed for you @JoeyLiz. It's good your doctor is being cautious. Big hug, K xox
