1st FEC done!

Just home from my first FEC infusion. It was better than I expected (not as scary), Nurses were wonderful and helped me to relax, got the cannula in first go (phew!). Now at home camped on the lounge until family gets home :)

  • Leila, so glad to hear your first went well. Yes its not as scary as we think once we get started.

Thinking of you, just remember to stay in contact with your Team about everything and stay on top of things.

    Hugs

  • Wishing all goes smoothly for you from here.  I'm starting my first round of chemo in 2 weeks.  Would love to know how you are going and the side effects you may experience.  Could you use your hand with the cannula in it?  I'm just wondering because I want to be able to crochet while I'm having mine done.  All the best. • Hi Leila, you look beautiful and so well. Hope all goes well for you. Looking at your photo brings back so many memories. I finished chemo (6 months) and Radiothreaphy about 6 weeks ago.   Funny when I saw your photo it didn't bring up any awful memories.  Ok its not pleasant to have chemo but all the lovely people you meet, eg nurses and other people receiving chemo, that's my memory of all that period.

Take it easy and rest as much as possible. Walk as often as often as you can.
