Hey Mel. You'll be right. It's surprisingly mundane in most cases. Company is good if that's what you want. It can get pretty boring, it's a terrible time soak. I always went with a bag of magazines, an iPad, a water bottle, and sundry other bibs and bobs but all I ever did was faff about on my phone messaging friends. I had an allergic reaction to one of the drugs so they dosed me up to eyeballs with Phenergan which made me very sleepy. I dozed and slept away most of my chemo! Like @Sarnicad I had a massive sob the first time so tissues are good tip. If you're doing the cold cap take a beanie to go home with. Takes a few hours to warm up again. If you're anything like me you'll find chatting to the nurses quite interesting and entertaining. All the very best of luck, hope it goes smoothly, and keep your eyes on the prize: a cancer free life. Big hug, K xox
