Very worried lump close to scar of mastectomy

Seen breast specialist this morning she thinks lump is fatty lymph node getting ultrasound with in 2 weeks 

Nannatash it isn't the club we really ever wanted to join, but its nice to know there are so many wonderful people on here supporting one another.  After the diagnosis I felt so alone and not able to talk to anyone for fear of worrying them and it was a huge relief when I found this site.  People are so supportive and THEY get it - they've been there and its wonderful to be able to ask ?dumb questions and ask for others experiences.  This stuff is not available from information packs - reading someones quote in a book isn't nearly as comforting as someones comment back to yours almost immediately.  It keeps it real.  The old saying if in doubt ask.  No such thing as a dumb question in reality.  Always ask and get things checked as you would tell those dear to you to do ...  Look after you. :) <3.

Brenda5  I just quckly read ur story sounds like me I has mastectomy still have lymph nodes 4 rounds chemo then tamoxifen 

My last ultrasound reported a cyst on the scar. They didn't say where but it wasn't a worry to them. Hope yours is the same.

I agree I think its scar tissue, i also had a mastectomy in February but immediate recon with Diep flap recon and unfortunately I have fat necrosis along the cleavage. They wont remove it until I have my revision and do it all in one hit. Definitely have it checked out by Surgeon I would think would be best. Melinda xo

Thankyou guy's ur comments give me a form of relief I see onc and breast surgeon Thursday last chem friday but it hard not to worry its been 13 weeks since surgery mastectomy

Most times it is scar tissue but make an appointment to see your breast surgeon or if in any doubt and a wait to see them ...see your GP and they could order an ultrasound to be sure. The oncologist also you could ask. Pretending its not worrying you is worse I reckon. 

I have a lump on my lumpectomy scar. It really worried me. I always pointed it out to my surgeon, onco and radiologist. They always say it is the scar tissue underneath. I have had mammogram and ultrasound and had the all clear. Lump is still there but a bit softer so I am thinking it is just scar tissue as they said.
