I’m just wondering if anyone had a second opinion before proceeding with surgery?
each time I email the Drs clinic, I feel like I’m fobbed off & just told I have to have surgery (I’m ok with that if all my questions are answered and they haven’t been)
not sure how to go about seeking another opinion.
Any suggestions?
Everyone is entitled to a 2nd opinion if they'd like one Ann58​ but you'd be unlikely to get an appointment before your scheduled surgery date.
Do you have a breast care nurse that you can chat with, who has extensive knowledge of others' experiences ..... that would be a start.
Try not to get ahead of yourself too much tho .... as it will just increase your stress levels something chronic! xx
No surgeon will offer surgery if it is not warranted. They are doing their best to prevent you from progressing to something worse ..... put trust in your team xx
Sadly, after a few mix-ups this past week & lack of communication, I’ve lost confidence in my Dr
I don’t have a team. I have my surgeon. I haven’t met my breast nurse yet and was told yesterday I don’t see her until after surgery.
I’m feeling very let down & vulnerable now. 🥹
