  • Hi Andi.

Sorry to hear your on this journey also. I too was diagnosed last Wednesday with the same thing. Are you in private hospital as I'm in public, but I am seeing the specialist tomorrow and expecting to be told surgery in next fortnight. So they have got you in very quickly which is great. I'm looking forward to surgery, I figure the sooner it's out the better. Will keep you in my prayers for all to go well with surgery and a full recovery back to full health xxx

  • Welcome Andi and good luck!  One step at a time is a great way to go and as the girls mentioned it's easier when you know your treatment plan.  Fingers crossed for clear margins!!  Lx

  • Hi Andi, all the best for Monday, fingers crossed for clear margins. If not, you can be assured your medical team will do what's best for you. It certainly is a roller coaster of emotions, take one day at a time and keep in touch on this website, there is always someone on here who will understand, take care,

    Hazel xx

  • Hi Summer.  Thank you. I wish I at least knew if it was going to be a Mastectomy or not. Am having The lump and auxilary Lymph nodes removed but until Pathology comes back and they see whether the margins are clear I won't know if I have to go back in to surgery and that takes about 4 days:(

  • Hi Tracey, Thank you. I wish I at least knew if it was going to be a Mastectomy or not. Am having The lump and auxilary Lymph nodes removed but until Pathology comes back and they see whether the margins are clear I won't know if I have to go back in to surgery and that takes about 4 days:(

  • Hi Andi Welcome to a great network of friends (ones we wish we did not have to make). I am sure you will get great support as you travel along the road ahead. Yes, it is a massive roller coaster of a ride and you bounce from one emotion to another but try to give yourself some slack and rely on others - accept all offers of help as they are given to you. You did not say the operation plans but whatever they may be we all wish you the best for that day, and those following. Keep posting as there is always someone who will answer you. Vent all you like as it is better to do it here than at those closest to you. Good wishes for Monday. Trust in your medical team is the answer. Hugs Summer :-)

Hi Andu, best wishes for your operation on Monday. I found it so much better once I had my mastectomy in February, and found out my results. Once you know your results you can then plan the next steps hat you will need to take. I have always dealt with 1 appointment and 1 treatment at a time and have found it all less overwhelming. Xxx
