Quick update from hospital. Bilateral mastectomy completed, feeling good. Received pathology results today. No cancer in lymph nodes removed with left breast mastectomy - 2.5 cm invasive tumour confirmed. Surprise result was that the right breast - collateral damage - also had a previously undetected 4mm invasive carcinoma. Praise be that I had made the right decision to remove both breasts. Just waiting now to find out treatment options.
