Roller coaster Ride

I found a Lump in my left breast in early Feb. had a precautionary ultrasound, which led to a mammogram and biopsy. Which resulted in a diagnosis of Early Breast Cancer. 

Have seen specialist and had lumpectomy and sentinel node biopsy. I have since been told I have triple negative breast cancer. 

Saw oncologist today and will be starting chemo on 10/4. I am nervous, scared and devastated about multiple things but I'm a fighter and organiser so I'll fine just gotta get my head around it all. But oh the emotions are crazy.

    Hi Blanche

    Hi sorry it's taken me so long to reply but I've had some setbacks.

    Just had my second round of chemo last Friday seems to be going well.

    First round did not go well. I have a sneaking suspicion I wasn't 100% when I started Chemo. I got very achy, tired and fluy. I then got horrible lady infections and ended up with Febrile Neutropenia. Ended up in hospital for several days. But third week is a godsend felt normal.

    So far this time I'm great. Day 3 and 4 were horrible, tired, achy and emotional. But now all good. I'm at day 7 after chemo.

    Hope yours is going well and I'd love to hear how you're traveling.

    Hi Ashari, I know what you mean, I have been diagnosed with triple positive early breast cancer, start chemo etc on Thursday after having a portachath in the morning. I am really scared about it as I dont do meds of any sort very well.

    Will be interested to hear how you go, so nice to see positive feed back. Will be thinking of you

    You are so normal!!! I remember those early days after diagnosis,waiting for chemo to start.I was scared absolutely witless in the beginning,and looking back now,I feel that a lot of the fear  was from the preconceived ideas that I had about Cancer and chemo.Ideas that probably come from what we hear on TV and read in the papers.BC is treatable,and chemo side effects are manageable also,so please try not to worry TOO much.This network of wonderful ladies can support you throughout your treatment,and before you know it,you will have the end in sight.I am 15 months past my last chemo,and I feel fantastic.I also feel as though I could manage anything now.Take care and let those around you care for you.Cheers Robyn.xox
