Hi @Brooke3006 at the risk of sounding like a grumpy old anti=conspiritist, if there was any science that supported extreme diets for people in your situation, it would have been reported. It would definitely be a 'thing'. It's a pity really, if someone locked me in the equivalent of the drunk tank for three days on a water only diet and I could be assured my cancer would bugger off, I'd sign up. Mind you, I'd have to be locked up and heaven help the first person I saw on my release.
There is no doubt that people who keep their body weight in a normal range through diet and exercise usually live longer than people who don't. But that takes no account of a multitude of other factors and there are many, many examples of people who have lead exemplary lives and still been hit by the cancer stick. There is a bit of a trend to say cancer feeds on sugar--which is a bastardisation of a scientific report. This shit is exhausting
Very sensible for you to realize your boyfriends situation is the polar opposite from yours. Sometimes people just want to do anything to help/contribute. Lovely sentiment, but you are going to need all the juice you can get. Please don't starve yourself. Mxx
