stomach always upset
Hi, I was recently diagosed with a triple neg stage 3 cancer. Successfully removed with clear margins, but pathology showed, particularly aggressive. Just had first 2 chemo treatments of doxyrubicin/cyclophosphamide, having 4 fortnightly sessions, followed by 12 weekly sessions of paclitaxel. Then 3 months of radiation therapy. Finding that I have a multitude of side effects, but the one that is causing me the most trouble is my stomach. I take a daily pantoproprazole tab for reflux, and often an anti nausea tab as well. I find that I either have no appetite because my stomach just feels gross all the time, or I am then starving, and feel like my stomach is eating itself. I try to eat small amounts frequently, but the symptoms never let up. I've tried various foods, but wondering if anyone has found anything in particular to ease that "unwell" feeling. I have read so much contradicting information about what to eat and what to avoid, that my head is in a spin.371Views0likes11CommentsDiet changes for tnbc
Evening! I have been doing some research into changes in diet to help keep tnbc at bay, but would love to know what you guys have implemented. I know karma/fate may ultimately have other ideas but I am in a good head space and want to kick this f***** to touch if I can and get a lot healthier. Thanks to taxol and steroids I am also quite a bit overweight and currently partway through rads with Capecitabine to follow, so I know medically I am doing all I can. thanks x211Views1like10CommentsFasting for improved health
Hi everyone, im new here and have a fairly recent stage 4 bc diagnosis. I’ve heard 72-hour water only fasts can be efficient to kill tumor cells and help protect your healthy cells from chemo. Does anyone here have experience with this? I’m also open to hearing the view from a BCNA staffer or nurse. My bc nurse didn’t think it was a fantastic idea but admitted she doesn’t know much in the area of fasting for health. Cheers261Views0likes13CommentsImmunity Boosters
@Flaneuse @viking1 @arpie I thought this topic deserved its own thread! A discussion on another thread has got me thinking about my immune system as well as the characters above. I've been concentrating on my gut as research is increasingly showing that gut health rules the health of so many other areas of the body, including the brain. And boy does my brain need help after the last few years! I might add some immunity boosters into the mix to bolster my post-chemo system as we start winter. Probably all the drugs I had with the BMX & recon haven't helped either. I eat really healthily, but what would you warrior womyn suggest?! What has worked for you?641Views1like35CommentsWill the curls stay? Plus trouble growing eyebrows
Hi, just wondering if anyone had straight here pre chemo and now has curly hair? My hair is very curly, fuzzy infact. Wondering if it will go or stay. Also, anyone had trouble getting eyebrows back? Did anything help? Cheers, Catherine331Views0likes19CommentsFeeling good

My question is I now have enough hair to work with again, what's everyone's thoughts on getting a few foils put in? Just asking because of all the Chemo and radiation last year. Thanks in advance.
