Thanks P3N. I've been waiting for the 'other boot to fall' for 10 years since my original diagnosis. Being busy minded, I too have been looking at options, accessories and alterative treatments and theories. I've worked for a federal govt agency reviewing cancer research grant applications for the last 7 years so have some idea where the wind is blowing regarding mainstream treatments.
My main concern with cannabis and cancer at the moment is that line between complimentary and alternative. I self medicate with a cannabis and coconut oil infusion which I have found has helped my bowels, my nausea and my sleep during chemo. This, for me, is an affordable and acceptable option, but I wouldn't want pretend I should be driving a car when I'm taking it. I am also under no illusion about it curing or altering the course of my disease.
I believe cannabis has a very real place in main stream medicine, but I am so bloody sick of charlatans preying on the vulnerable that I want to see this done properly. Your approach, in my opinion, is the correct one from the view that respectable and responsible advocates sometimes need to stick their heads above the parapets to draw attention to important issues.
So, yes, I will go in to bat about this if I feel it is being presented in a way that sits well with my own philosophy about science and evidence.
