Can we change the sort order in our inbox - all the emails I had deleted on the old site have come back - how can we delete?Also one of my posts has not converted and it was my photo story can we get it back?

Is there any way to tell from the discussion which group it is in or do you need to go into each group to see the discussion in that group? when you are posting how do you post to a specific group?regards chris

In the advanced search options does author = user?doing advanced search this way does not seem to hold the author name.also if we are searching for specific words can we use " " to get an exact match to a specific string rather than any occurrence of one of the words in the text?can we search specifically from within a group rather than the whole network?

How do I add a tag to a post? Is it optional? Can we select from a drop down list of the pre defined tags?

Hi @Ne, yes, there's an issue affecting two aspects of the groups: notifications and the search results. Our devs are looking into it and have found that the problem is related to permissions (as in, you don't have permission to view this). For some reason, group members just can't see them, even though they're there, and you should be able to view them. This bug is one of our top priorities so we hope to have it resolved soon.

@Ann-Marie_BCNA Hi, i just wanted to let you know that whenever I receive a notification that someone has posted in a group, 1st, the link to take you to the discussion is not underlined or highlighted, in fact two sentences in the notification is highlighted. 2nd, when I click on the word 'here' to take me to the link a message comes up saying "page could not be found". Is there a glitch with these notifications?

Yes, Groups hide posts from non group members but I'm speaking of the posts made to Discussion/all members that once logged out of BCNA can bee seen by the general public.

I think I've found that anything posted under the Tests, treatments and side-effects category is hidden from public view, which is great. Is anything else hidden from non-members of BCNA? I'll stick to posting to those categories.

Ah, good point though, the 'vanished' discussions were possibly posted into a group that no longer exists, so the post is irretrievable. I think I remember that being mentioned earlier. Silly me.

Based on my understanding of the way this works - if you are in a group and you go to that group and start a discussion it is only visible in that group. it is not on the public page nor is it visible in your profile under discussions.

So the only way you can find it is to go into the group

I notice that some posts don't show on the front page while others do. Are there certain categories that are member-only? I ask because I want to start discussions, but I miss privacy settings and would rather not make public posts.

Has anyone else noticed their previous discussions né blogs vanish? Two of mine seem to have made a dash for the cyber-wilderness.

I have bookmarked the "what and how" thread so I can access how to do things whenever I need to. You just click on the star for that post @mum2jj, it turns bright pink and a new heading appears over on the right hand side of your page called my bookmarks. Then each time I want to find a bookmarked post I just click on my bookmarks. It takes me to a list of bookmarked posts and I click on the one I want. So quick! I love that @InkPetal has added so many how to's to the what and how thread. I might even start learning the right terminology for things if this keeps up! ;)

I'm not sure what else to make for the what and how thread immediately so whenever someone asks something that I know how to do I'm just going to make another one.

One of the most valuable features of this new system is the bookmark feature. To be able to easily locate a post that contains information that you may wish to refer back to is just fantastic. AND I just love the speed of it all! I can check for new messages and posts in just a few seconds. <3 :)

Bullet and Numbered lists are not showing in "Preview" mode.

E.g.
List item 1
List item 2
List item 3
List item 4
The above is in list form. The HTML showing for both kinds of list are correct but instead of being put into a list they are being separated by spaces.

Little ol' bug.
