Well done, it's not the diagnosis you want but it's great to bring together well presented information. Symptoms can be difficult to read. I had many of the symptoms described, my GP also wondered about an abscess or mastitis, but referred me to a specialist immediately and didn't brush my concern aside. I had myself almost totally convinced I had IBC (that was in the days before I gave up Googling!) . I didn't. The cancer cells however were causing a high degree of irritation in nearby healthy and normal tissue. Had they not done so though, I might have been a long time before realising anything was wrong as I couldn't feel a lump at all. So entirely agree, get anything unusual checked sooner rather than later, and get it checked out by someone who knows a lot about breasts. If it really is something temporary and will go away, great. But if it isn't, you want to get onto it as soon as possible. Many thanks.
