Hi

Hi I'm Natalie,

I'm 38 married with 3 kids.

I just had a bad dream about my breast so I asked for a mamagram just to check, the mamagragm came up clear but an ultra sound said it all.

I had no choice but mascectomy and wasn't allowed reconstruction straight away due to my blood wont clot - I was diagnosed Feb 2013.

I'm a grade 3 breast cancer with recepotors way more than normal and unfortunatly is aggreesssive it was 1mm off my chest was and hadn't proceeded through lymphs and was 45mm within 3 months.

Due to being so aggressive I need chemo next Monday and Thurs I will recieve a port into my chest but need to be hospitalised due to my blood clotting problem.

This is the most scariest thing in my life and I hate the nerves you get every day of continialy wanting to vomit.

    Hi Nat, I just turned 39 but was diagnosed with breast cancer 2 years ago, I also have 3 kids, wasn't allowed a breast recon straight away either because they needed me to start chemo straight away and didn't want to risk me getting an infection. I had 6 treatments of chemo over 4 months. My god yes it is so scary and everything just happens so fast, all I can say is you will get through it, it is hard and some days are worse than the others but after your treatment is done and you get your life back on track you will sit back and say wow this was the hardest thing to face in life but I did it! I still haven't had a reconstruction maybe next year I will think about it, I'm just not sure I want to put my body through another major op. Good luck with all of your treatment stay positive and try not to let anything get you down, if someone offers help in your family and friends make sure you take them up on it because they wouldn't ask if they didn't want to.     As Em said we are sorry to hear of your diagnosis and the struggles you are going through dealing with the news.

    I hope you find the support from the women in the online network a great help during this time. I just wanted to make sure you have seen the new diagnosis page on our website as you might find the videos of women sharing their experience helpful - http://www.bcna.org.au/new-diagnosis also if you haven't got a copy of the My Journey Kit - I would suggest ordering a copy. All these resources will help you get through the first few weeks.

    Hi Nat, I'm so sorry to hear of your diagnosis and that we are meeting you via this forum :( I was 34 when diagnosed (Junè 2011) and it hit me for six! I found a lump by accident after scratching under my arm and onto the side of my breast. My largest lump was 40mm and my cancer was classified as Stage IIb and Grade 3. Mine is also ER/PR positive but HER2-. I will be thinking of you next week and hope your next Chemo goes to plan. My fingers are crossed that you won't have too many side effects.
