Hi Nat, I just turned 39 but was diagnosed with breast cancer 2 years ago, I also have 3 kids, wasn't allowed a breast recon straight away either because they needed me to start chemo straight away and didn't want to risk me getting an infection. I had 6 treatments of chemo over 4 months. My god yes it is so scary and everything just happens so fast, all I can say is you will get through it, it is hard and some days are worse than the others but after your treatment is done and you get your life back on track you will sit back and say wow this was the hardest thing to face in life but I did it! I still haven't had a reconstruction maybe next year I will think about it, I'm just not sure I want to put my body through another major op. Good luck with all of your treatment stay positive and try not to let anything get you down, if someone offers help in your family and friends make sure you take them up on it because they wouldn't ask if they didn't want to.
