I was just so disgusted by the GPs who ignore womens' fears of a breast lump - telling them they are too young to have it and ignoring it!! Not every woman is assertive enough to go to another GP .... or worse still, NOT AWARE THAT THEY CAN ASK FOR A FREE MAMMOGRAM if aged 40+!
'Poster girl' Jane McGrath was in her 30s when diagnosed and 40s when she died.
I had my own 'early' scare in the late 70s .... aged about 25 .... luckily I was working in a hospital in Sydney & went to see the House Doctor when I found my first lumps, who immediately sent me over the road to the Specialist's Rooms to be checked out. I had to ring for an appointment & hardly got past the first two words "I'v found BLUB BLUB BLUB'' and they got me in the next day, even tho initially told they couldn't see me for a month! They were cysts - nothing was done, no biopsy - just that flat statement & I was happy with that. That was the first time I'd been told I had 'lumpy breasts', which was why I wasn't worried, going for the ultrasound & biopsy in Dec '17. How wrong was I?
Did you also read the article here (in the document above): how old you are.
This is one of the statements there .....

“In 2015, it is projected that 795 young women will be diagnosed with breast cancer, and 65 will die from it, which is an average of two diagnoses a day and one death a week,” Australian Institute of Health and Welfare spokesman Justin Harvey said.
If a known drug or process was causing one or more deaths a week - there would be a national outrage for that process or drug to be stopped being used. In THIS case, the death is caused by there being NO PROCESS! grrrrr
