Good news from the surgeon
I finally got my results back from my masectomy (three weeks took ages) and had some good news, I had a 5cm area of high grade dcis and 1 1/2cm stage one low grade and all the other scattered areas we...
The whole thing is traumatic and emotionally exhausting @Jenny66 - diagnosis, surgery, waiting for results. I was strangely pragmatic after my diagnosis, no tears, not much emotion. But when my surgeon called into my hospital room to give me the results (I was actually on the loo - quickest wee in history!) I completely broke down. I could hardly speak with I called my husband and family - they thought the worst of course! Be easy on yourself, it takes time to recover. Jane xx
