They do the first scans twelve months after you were first diagnosed irrelevant of when your treatment finished. The two weeks wait time is to make sure your surgeon has time to get and review the scans. If they find anything abnormal before that time, they will ring you for further testing. Even then, the abnormality is usually nothing. Scanxiety is real so be reassured we are all there with you. There are ladies here that are four years post BC but they still get scanxiety. Try to keep yourself occupied but if you need to scream to get rid of the stress, go for it. I have, and so have a lot of others. Sending big hugs your way.
