Double Mastectomy

Hi I've decided to undergo a double mastectomy skin sparing with nipple recon and implants .Because of the scaring from my previous two lumpectomy's the surgeon stated they will be smaller and higher up. Im feeling anxious about the whole procedure but Im grateful that I only have grade 3 DCIS and no invasion. Hoping all goes well any tips would be grateful now that Ive decided to go ahead just waiting for a date, he said within the month because I'm not having radiation.

    Hi @Chance  - great that you have made a decision that you are happy with.   

    Smaller & higher up should be 'perky'!  ;)  

    Feeling anxious is totally normal for any upcoming surgery - maybe give our Helpline a call on 1800 500 258 & have a chat with them xx 

    Have you joined the Reconstruction group?  If you put up a question there, I am sure the members will be only too happy to help you out xx
