my surgery was cancelled for next Wednesday 12th til 26th
last week I felt or knew that I wouldn’t be having surgery next week.
now it’s been moved, I can’t even imagine it happening in two weeks.
i don’t know if I’m in denial or disassociating. It doesn’t seem real. As if it’s happening to someone else.
Has anyone else had this experience?
Hi Ann58 , I'm sorry your surgery has been postponed. Having yourself mentally prepared for one date and then having it moved can be incredibly unsettling. Be gentle with yourself over the next couple of weeks. There is no right or wrong way to feel, and everything you're experiencing sounds like a very normal response to a difficult situation.
