Largely due to commissioning Pauline to consult with men with breast cancer, thoroughly research the topic, and draw up recommendations and policy changes at BCNA, this breast cancer charity has become a world leader in male breast cancer advocacy.
I believe now that the next goal should be to further raise awareness that men get this disease and reduce the stigma of it being an unmanly disease. Then, with a support framework in place, men will come to use the BCNA services and products to help them through their treatments and support them with information, along with peer group advice, counselling, and friendship.
I am really excited to be invited, along with
@Chester80$$, to the Summit this year and hope to leverage the talent and goodwill of the BCNA family to spread the word on men and BC.
