🌱Wednesday Wellness - Creativity, Self-Care & a Special Giveaway! - 29July26🎁
We have an extra special Wednesday Wellness for you today.....
When life feels overwhelming, creativity can be a powerful form of self-care. Whether it's painting, knitting, photography, colouring, gardening, scrapbooking, sewing, baking, writing, pottery, or any other creative pursuit, making something with our hands can help us slow down, focus on the present moment, and express emotions that can sometimes be difficult to put into words. 💗
During your experience with breast cancer, creativity can provide a sense of accomplishment, distraction from worries, connection with others, and space to simply enjoy doing something for yourself. There doesn't need to be a goal, and it certainly doesn't need to be perfect. The process itself can be just as valuable as the finished result. ✨
🎁 This week's giveaway!
📸 Share a photo of something you've created in the comments below. It could be anything from a craft project, artwork, garden, baked treat, knitted creation, photograph, journal page, or any other creative endeavour.
🏆 The photo with the most likes will win a special home wellness pack!
🎨 Show us your creative side in the comments below! 💕

I have been crocheting these chunky spiral beanies , I just love crocheting and the yarn. I have given them to friends and family for this cold Melbourne winter and now I am selling them and decided to have a little business. It has been a very important part of my diagnosis and surgery and recovery - focusing on such a lovely hobby.

This whole picture started because I received the brown honeycomb paper packaging in a delivery and thought I have to make something with this.
The middle image is a gorgeous stamp I have. This was my first time attempting something like this that feels very 'arty'. :)

Next are a fun thing Ive been making to use in my junk journals. You just need packaging tape and random scraps of paper, glitter, sequins, paint pens or anything else laying around to make them. I use them as pages in my journals or I cut them down to make bookmarks, gift tags or other embellishments.
These are 3 separate 'pages' I've made.

I appreciate the tag Christina_BCNA as life has been a bit hectic and this is a wonderful reminder of how discovering our own creativity can bring us so much joy. I am continuing to do beading, macrame and make junk journals and have added collage and other mixed media art to my current pursuits. I'll see if I can add some examples of what Ive made.

Oh my goodness, its 5 hours later and I finally have a moment to upload some of what I've been creating. :)
First up are some collage papers I made (last photo) and the first 2 photos are collages I made using these papers.
I've just started becoming interested in mixed media and creating texture and layers. It's especially great for people like me, who cant draw a straight line haha.

Some of my diary entries during treatment -
My stomach is flat. It’s just the L is silent.
Commas are important - No more vodka. No, more vodka
Do people who run marathons realise they don’t have to?
Sometimes I hear the voice of chocolate at night, calling to me from the kitchen. The veges are oddly quiet.

I’m knitting a scarf 🧣 😂 I started it just over a year ago while my mum was dying. Still haven’t finished it! My aim is to work on it while this breast cancer journey is unfolding.
I’ll try to share something I create over the next day
