On Our Walks
A while back there was a lovely thread of sunrises that the early risers among us posted. I loved it, so I thought I'd broaden it to a thread for all the lovely sights we see as we do our slow staggers through chemo, or those walks we take after active treatment has finished and we're trying to get our strength and fitness back.
In Melbourne today the weather was sunny, still and mild; perfect for a walk. I have followed my GP to a small town in the Yarra Valley (a good GP is worth the 30 minute drive I reckon), and right outside her surgery is the start of a beautifully laid out walking track. It's 7kms long and I've been keen to explore it. So today I walked halfway along it and back. At over 7kms it was the longest walk I've done since the day before chemo!

- It was, @kmakm - I was sitting there talking to myself, saying 'I am not enjoying this. I am not enjoying this'! LOL
NO @kitkatb - I couldn't even land one fish in 4hrs of fishing - with 2 hrs of it being in rain. :( I had about 30 hits (on fly) but the mongrels couldn't find the hooks!! At least I got the hits! Some didn't even get that! (I am not very good at Fly Fishing! LOL) Every fish caught on fly = 100 on lure = 500 on bait!!
I had much more fun the next day, with my 'toyboy' on his big Bream boat! Hooning around the lake at 100kph! He is in Sydney doing a big comp over the next 3 days, then another one on the weekend. You can watch some of the best in the country over the next 3 days, Live, here:

- This was me on Sat ...... it absolutely bucketed & then I thought it was going to hail! Not good to be on the water during a storm, holding a fishing rod!! The water is totally dimpled from the massive rain drops! I looked like a drowned rat!! I should have taken a selfie! LOL

- Went to Sandringham to make a Gumtree purchase (a bike for my niece's 11th birthday) and took the opportunity to go for a paddle and a walk on the beach. I wish I'd worn my bathers! We've had the most perfect Melbourne late summer weather this weekend.
