On Our Walks
A while back there was a lovely thread of sunrises that the early risers among us posted. I loved it, so I thought I'd broaden it to a thread for all the lovely sights we see as we do our slow staggers through chemo, or those walks we take after active treatment has finished and we're trying to get our strength and fitness back.
In Melbourne today the weather was sunny, still and mild; perfect for a walk. I have followed my GP to a small town in the Yarra Valley (a good GP is worth the 30 minute drive I reckon), and right outside her surgery is the start of a beautifully laid out walking track. It's 7kms long and I've been keen to explore it. So today I walked halfway along it and back. At over 7kms it was the longest walk I've done since the day before chemo!

Accompanying partners meet for bookclub at this conference each year. This year I spoke about breast cancer to the group and shared the Can at 40. Do at 45. campaign.

My mornings start off beautifully with your "photos of the day". Thank you. I am certain that others enjoy them. I did the lunchtime bbq cruise and were to do the evening cruise on our next trip. Had to cancel the October 2017 trio. Bigger things came up.

The tree is stunning whatever it is called. When ours have dropped all their flowers there is a carpet of yellow and red (from the poinciana nearby). Always reminds me of my grandmother's loungeroom carpet. - No sure @"Annie C",
I was told they are called Golden Rain because it looks like it's raining gold flowers when they all start to float down. I am sure there is a more scientific name for them. - The classy 1912 Earnslaw docked at Walter Peak High Country Farm.
We had a 3 course conference meal there @"Annie C" . I am much more a bbq gal and think I missed the better experience there. That's not to say tge food wasn't wonderful! - Photos of the day @"Annie C" .

I think I have these trees on our block. We have 2 and they look very similar. Ours are flowering and are stunningly covered in yellow flowers. We have always called them Yellow Jacaranda. I wonder if they are the same.
