  • I think it takes a little while for the pigment part of the hair follicle to recover from the effects of the chemo. So that is why the first new growth is white. It happened to me too but most of my hair is the same colour as it was prior to chemo now (3 1/2 months after last chemo). :)Deanne

  • Hi

This happened to me as well, I did have quite a bit of grey before chemo, but when it came back it was white and then it started coming through coloured. It was very funny-opposite to what I usually had instead of grey roots, I had coloured roots. It sorted itself out after a few months, but I did get it coloured at the hairdressers when it was long enough.

  • Hi there, Yes I would like to know about this too. I am still doing Taxol 6/12 down but my hair is starting to come back ( it's very very short!) It's all totally white . I am only 41 and prior to losing my hair didn't have a grey hair on my head!!! I was wondering of this was normal too ? Take care , Sophie x
