How long between mastectomy and reconstruction
Hi, new to this online group and after some advice please. I was diagnosed with stage 2 IDC HER 2 positive. End of March this year. Have just finished 4 th round of AC dense chemo and start paclitaxel...
Hi @Halza. I wasn't aware that there was any time frime before you could have reconstruction done. It could be that the radiotherapy makes a difference. Some women are able to have immediate reconstruction.
Are you aware of the group "Choosing Breast Reconstruction"? Go to the link on the right side of the page and request to join. It's a private group. You won't be accepted until one of the group admin is online to accept you into the group.

I had a wide local excision so didn't need to consider reconstruction.
Hope you've managed chemo reasonably ok.
