Hi there,
I'm not sure my experience is much use to you, but wanted to let you know someone is out there thinking of you while the wiser and more experienced heads around this network get a chance to help you out. In the meantime, friends who have had this problem (neuralgia) say it does mostly resolve over time and you might find some useful stuff on the cancer council website.
My oncologist (who is an Associate Professor and recently featured in some media coverage about some new research) told me that if anything ever felt too hard to stop and we would review the approach together Nothing really went seriously wrong for me during chemo, so I never had to test his advice, but I did have the impression you can stop, scale back, defer if you need to without it being disastrous.
Hang in there - I'm sure you'll get some good advice from this group soon and your oncologist s/he has a chance.
Very best wishes
Megan
