  • Hi Lisa, Deciding on a reconstruction is always difficult. You are doing the right things by asking. Also if you join the Reconstruction group you will be able to message ladies who have gone through lots of different types. With Lat dorsi, I was worried about upper back ache as I am already weak in that area. I have met 2 people with upper back ache following this procedure, and many who have no issues. I have had bilateral implants following tissue expanders, and am pretty happy with the results. The most natural type of recon is definitely the DIEP or TRAM, but it is also a large operation and not everyone is suitable or wants to go through something that extreme. If you join the reconstruction group, there are photo stories in there where many ladies have posted photos of their various types of reconstruction. You will get some very interesting information from these posts. Good luck, and hope it all goes well for you. Love Chris xx
  • Hi Lisa,

I didnt have a Lat Dorsi recon, but in there is a private group here all about breast reconstruction. In this group are lots of stories and ladies to chat to who have had a LD also some images that might be helpful. If you want to check it out just request membership with a short paragraph about what you are looking for and the facilitator can direct you to the most relevant info.
