Diep surgery recovery
hi everyone I’m having double mastectomy and diep reconstruction in about 3 weeks and I was wondering if anyone could give some insight into recovery and how they managed once at home from hospital ...
Recovery has hit a bump. Sections of all my incisions are bright red and weeping, especially the abdominal one. There are also red welts nearby. Of course this has happened on a weekend! So I've been to the big GP clinic I use when I need immediate care.
The GP took a swab of the infection on the belly. Said it was also infected on the right foob, with dermatitis on the left and belly as well.
She gave me a prescription for antibiotics and wants to see me again on Monday. :/
