I saw my breast surgeon today. He examined my foobs and noticed the hard lumpiness on the right and said it could be some dead fat. Not to worry he added, the plastic surgeon will lipo it out and replace it at the revision surgery. You sure are required to be very patient in this DIEP recon business...
I have a slight suspicion that I may have a bit of cording on the right as well, so my breastcare nurse showed me what to do there.
There was some chat about no guarantees that a recurrence would never happen, and a few other things, and then it was cheerio, see you in six months. Unless something goes wrong, it's over a month before I see a doctor again. It's very weird.
My skin continues itchy and I am still sore at the sides and underneath my foobs, and at the outer stretches of the abdominal incision. I'm looking forward to the pain lessening. Soon I hope.
