It is for the best . It's all about you healing @kmakm. We all know what we do when we get home .... that one extra thing, that little bit heavier lift than allowed.,I'll just put the washing on the line . Empty the dishwasher ... and then regret it later when you get that extra strange twinge. This is giving you time for your body to heal and get extra strength. For you to re-group with your family under relaxed circumstances away from hospital. Time to walk around the shops and go for a coffee with family.
it is a generational thing .... parents are strange creatures, especially as their generation have been through the war etc, they expect so much more from their own offspring they wouldn't blink an eye at with anyone else, and as their adult children we don't feel comfortable with what they think. You have had major surgery . Enjoy, relax, have a break for goodness sake. You've had a tough few years. Before you know it you'll be at home and in the middle of family life with all it brings.
Youre father in law and husband understands , bless them.
Dont think twice anymore about it.
Hugs xxxxx
