Enjoying the moments

Just wanted to share this story because it makes me feel better about the world.

Every morning on the way back from our walk we go past a bus stop, and most mornings there is the same lady waiting there. She has her earphones in and is dancing away while she waits. How great is it that she is obviously so happy and relaxed that she is able to enjoy the moment (and be active!) rather than standing there all impatient or dreading the day ahead?

Her happiness is infectious and it always makes me smile and feel glad to be alive. I can't help but think the world would be a better place if we all enjoyed the moments like this! Hope everyone who can is having a good start to their day too! Deanne xxx

That made me smile Deanne. I am actually treating myself to half an hour out on my back deck enjoying a coffee in the glorious Far North Queensland sunshine. Just been to my breast specialist for my 6 month check and all is good 3 1/2 years out from my second diagnosis. More reason to smile. Happy Thursday everyone.

That is fantastic news about your 6 month check. A great reason to keep smiling and I'm doing a little dance for you while I eat my lunch! Deanne xxx

Very good, touch wood. I go for a check up at the lymphoedema clinic next month and I hope my measurements will be stable. With the warmer weather now it can be harder but then again I can get into the water more so that will be good. How are you going with yours? x

Really good. I still wear my short garment quite a lot, more because I am a nervous Nellie and had it quite bad in my hand. However don't ever wear to work as in air conditioning all day and it's been really good. My breast surgeon says there is no sign of lymphedema but listen more to my oncology OT than him in regards to lymphedema. I live in the tropics so very aware of the heat thing.
    Keep smiling,
    Have a happy active weekend

That is nice to hear! I really wish it was contagious as  a lot of people I have encountered ( retail industry mainly) have been rude and quite unfriendly. I had a shop assitant today huff at me today because she had to repack my goods because she didn't see my environmentaly friendly bag that I had presented on arrival at her check out. I wish people were more friendly towards each other. it just makes the world a better place.Don't know why it has upset me more lately. I hope I encounter a dancing lady at a bus stop!
