We're off and running!
Wow, this is exciting. My first chance to publicise out male partner's support group. The NSW Cancer Council has been behind me 100% on this project.
When my wife was going through her breast cancer treatment there was no place for me to go and meet with other men who were supporting their partners through the journey.
I am excited about building the place - you are welcome to come.
As a counsellor I see the strain that cancer treatment has on couples and families. This group will be a safe haven for men to come together to talk about whatever they feel is important to talk about. It's certainly not a group counselling session - I just want to facilitate a place for guys to come and be together.
