Hi All,

I've  just recently been interviewed for an article in the Insurance Times. I wanted to remind everyone in our industry that we must take time to get those all important health checks and told my story about going for a rountine mammogram that resulted in me being diagnosed with breast cancer.

Another point I wanted to make is that how an employers attitude can make all the difference when going through this horrible experience. I am thankfull for such an amazing 3 Directors for their support throughout.

I've attached a picture of the article but I am not sure if i can get the article online. I'll try - as I mentioned BCNA and what an amazing job they and all you fellow members do. I live on the Gold Coast and since I've got back to normality I feel at a loss that I'm not doing more to help others and doing this article has certainly helped somewhat.  If just one person reads it and decides tomorrow is the day they will finally get a check or address any health concerns that they've been putting off then that is great!

It is thanks to the openness of women such as yourself that early detection is doing such a great job of saving lives. As you say if you sharing your story prompts even one person to have a check then it is worthwhile!

Would love to read the article. Take care. Deanne xxx
