I don't come and blog very often now but i do read how others are fairing and if i feel can offer advice I will. Today i had an appointment with my Onco and am pleased to say he doesn't want to see me for a whole year - yeah. On the down side he says I have to take tamoxifen for 10 years!! Oh well I guess I have to put up with the sweats for another 7 years!!

Tomorrow Iam off to the Royal Brisbane for my pre-admission for my breast reconstruction. Don't have a date yet but must be soon! will be great to have 2 boobs again!

I am also off to Florida in Oct to be part of the IDBF Breast Cancer Survivors regatta over 100 teams from all over the world competing will be amazing. We are busy fundraising it's going well. Go Redcliffe pink Snapdragons!!

I would never have imagined how much my life has changed in the last 4 years and feel very lucky to have such a great group of Pink friends. For all of you ladies just embarking on your BC journey life does get better and a different normal takes over. It's a great life.

It is so good to hear from someone further down the bc track that life is good. I have finished treatment 3 months ago and am now on Tamoxifen too. I am enjoying life and adjusting to my new normal.

Good luck with your surgery and the dragon boat festival. It all sounds very exciting.

Lovely to read your blog and hear how well you are.Good luck with recon -I'm not ready to go down that path yet. It's always good news when your onco doesn't want to see you for a year or 2(in my case). You sure have a busy year ahead of you.How exciting to compete in Florida -I'm sure you'll do us proud.   love,Tonya xx
