Throughout my BC journey, from the day of diagnosis to the last day of chemo, my most precious daughter has taken photos of me and of other people in the family with me.

Hundreds of them and sometimes I have been happy to have my photo taken, and other days, I have been a bit grumpy, but she has still taken them!:)

Today she gave me the most beautiful, special gift. She had all the photos (hundreds) put into a hardcover book. The title of the book is 'Shit happens, but life goes on' and the last page is a pic of me and the words, You're a tough girl Mum.

This girl of mine doesn't know how special she is in our lives. I will never be able to do for her what she has done for me the last 6 months. I am truly blessed!

Hope you are all doing OK.

Cheers Robyn.xoxo

Lucky you to have such a beautiful thoughtful daughter. You must share an incredible bond and she must possess great strength to put her feelings of your diagnosis and treatment aside and be there in such big ways for you.
Your lost sent tears streaming down my cheeks.
The bond between a mother and her daughter is so incredibly special
Robyn I really love the title. Throughout my bc journey I've always said " shit happens" when someone has asked me if I was high risk, do I miss my boobs etc.

Special daughters usually have special Mums. What a valuable gift to commemorate your BC journey. When the going gets tough, the tough get going! You have met the challenge of the last 6 months with strength and determination and obviously with the support of a fantastic family. Well done to your daughter for her thoughtful record of this. :) Deanne xx

I gave my daughter and her family a holiday. 1 week at a resort in Port Macquarie.

I know for every appointment etc My came to her husband took the kids to school and her mother in law picked them up. She works casual and if she couldn't work she didn't get paid etc. like you say there is no way in the world I can ever repay her but a holiday just for them goes a little way towards it.

I truely would have been lost without her support.

Ontop of that I repaid her with a lifetime  of vigilance, she has had her 1st MRI and until she is 40 will do this yearly.

    Cheers

    Donna
