Beautiful day

It is such a beautiful day here in Hobart. I sat outside in the sun just because it felt so beautiful after all our cold weather. So nice just to sit and be peaceful. I am reading Pema Chodron's book The Places that Scare you. It has nothing to do with cancer but it is about living life with truth and compassion. There is a wonderful quote in it: "with unfailing kindness, your life always presents what you need to learn" and I will take that thought with me into surgery next week.
I was wondering if anyone is reading or has read anything inspirational (besides all the gorgeous comments from all of you amazing women!) that they can recommend?

    Hey Lisally

I am reading "The Secret". I am not sure if you have heard of it.  Most people I talk to have but I wasn't one of them.

I was told about it by my daughter a while ago and it was kind of taking my interest and then a beautiful friend lent me the DVD which I then watched numerous times while in the hyperbaric chamber for my treatment.  The DVD inspired me so I have gone out and bought the book.

It is definitely not for everyone but it definitely has inspired me to help me turn my life around.

    Lots of love, Mich xoxoxoxo

I've found lots of quotes that have more meaning to me now. Done lots of things I wouldn't have considered before BC like mindfulness and mediation . Most I think has been making time for me and I think we all need to do that.

The beauty of the year I had off, from last October, was that I had time to be very involved with nature, read books, paint and to make new friends.  Sure, there were all the obvious medical things, but I am so grateful for that year, to go for a walk each day, see the wildlife here in Launceston, Swan Bay, and to appreciate a great series "Game of Thrones"  as a massive read.  I took lots of photos, wrote and did all the things that much free time allowed.    I wish you well, and let us know if you have any questions.  XX Bel
