Returning to Nursing

I have finished my treatment for some 2 weeks now. I had the hamburger with the lot!

Mastectomy (left breast) axillary clearence, chemo and radiotherapy.  I hated chemo but Radiotherapy I found was far worse because it was daily and I was so sore and burnt. It did my head in.

Now I am wondering whether I am up to returning to my job as a District Nurse. Hoping to go back in March next year - giving myself time to recover and move house!

Is there any nurses out there who have returned to work after Cancer?

How do they cope with Chemo brain and fatigue?

My job doesn't have light duties. We drive around and see patients in their homes. My worry is fatigue or forgetting something due to my present cognitive state. I am sure I will be fine and it is just nerves. Also my kids are only 12 and 8 and I guess I am enjoying being a full time mum at the moment after such an upheaval the past 7 months.
