Valentines Day this year was amazing! My beautiful man set a lovely dinner table, cooked a yummy meal, took me for a romantic walk on the beach on a warm balmy night, gave me a dozen pink roses and it felt soooo good. 

But the day started in a different vein. Checking for prickles (haha) around the nipple that morning I detected a lump that felt like a marble. Hmmm didn't feel right. So I made an appointment to see my GP that afternoon.

She said it could be a cyst and couldn't feel any lumps under my arm. Give it 3 weeks and if it is still there she said to use the referrals she gave me for mammogram, scan and biopsy.

4 days later I found a lump under my arm and immediately decided to wait no longer. I struggled to get an appointment asap but managed to get in that Friday 22 Feb.

    The waiting is the worst part - waiting for an appointment, waiting for results - we understand how the time drags for you. Keep in touch and let us know your results. Thinking of you with fingers crossed it's a false alarm, but here to support you if it's not. Big hug in either case!

    Thanks, Tonya. Didn't actually expect any reponses! My intent is to keep a journal of my experiences because I know I'll forget. Mainly for my three grown up daughters. But I also want it to be publicly available to share with friends or anyone really. Not at all sure what my journey ahead will be. About to add to my blog....
