You may also like to check out the podcasts by Charlotte Tottman - as she is a specialist BC Counsellor who was diagnosed with Breast Cancer 4-5 years ago. She's had a double mastectomy, stayed flat and KNOWS what we've all gone thru!  She was surprised too, at the emotions she went thru herself, as they were different from what she'd 'thought they were' when she was counseling women prior to her own diagnosis.  So she 'gets it'.   They are very easy listening too. xx

    Hi @Amasya
sending you lots of positive vibes as you progress through your HER2+ regime. Love your spirited attitude. I found it helped me when I would plan to do something nice for myself (catch up with a friend, see a new show at an art gallery or have a massage). I did this through the 12 taxol and herceptin rounds (when I felt up to it) to help break up that final push through the last 6 months to the end. It’s quite a long haul!
I completed my treatment earlier this year. Incredible to have it behind me.

    Hi @Tri

so glad to hear you have completed your treatment. I just had my third AC and ohhh boy this one has definitely knocked me about more. Its day 7 and im still struggling to get my head off the pillow. Not sure why this one took more out of me compared to the previous ones.
I really hope the taxol isn’t going to be as bad and i can be a bit more normal.

I hear you - it’s no cake walk and I found I could expect to be resting twice a day for the first 10 days and then gradually got some “vavoom” back. I am told it’s the cumulative effect and of course your system will be coming back from a lower base after each treatment.  I did find the last 11 doses were easier to tolerate and my hair, nails etc grew back :-)
sending big virtual hugs and well wishes
