Hi I’m 2 weeks post op and very glad I was introduced to this site. I’m nervously finding ways to help manage symptoms, is it too early to start using ice packs for swelling, on the back and under arm? Thanks in advance.

    Hi @Stillstanding,
Sorry to hear you've had to join the group.
I had my surgery back in February and I was given ice packs the same day and told to use them at home if needed. So given that, I think you've waited long enough for some relief, just make sure you wrap the ice pack and don't put it directly on the skin without doing that.

    Take care  :)

Wow, who would think that would make such a difference. Have now put ice packs in my ever growing list of surgery hacks. Along with the 2 U pillows, and cutting open large t shirts down the front and wearing them. Small steps that help huh!
