Femara & smelly urine?

This medication is literally the only thing new in my life, so I'm asking of anybody else has had the same side affects? Further I am still drinking plenty of water daily, not eating asparagus (or lately), no mayor changes in diet or drinks and the smelly urine started right when I started taking the meds three days ago.
Note: when I'm saying smelly, I mean it's very strong, strange smell my urine has never smelled like before, even with UTIs in the past.

Hi @bluehoneybee ... welcome to the blog - I hope that you are going well, otherwise.
Feel free to tell us a bit more of your story so far ..... What type of BC you've got, what you'v had done so far .....
Short answer is Yes - sometimes the urine smell is very strong & different, then no smell - the change is quite random! I haven't had UTIs either that I've been aware of. I also find that I am sweating more too ... and I am on Arimidex/Anastrozole.
Jump on to this thread for a bit more info on the forum ..... we have some 'off topic' threads, too, re our pets, gardens, art & craft etc ... and even some funny bits too.

I see that you have South Africa as your 'home' ..... whereabouts? It is a beautiful country.

Yes @bluehoneybee smelly urine is sometimes a side effect.
I was told drinking lots of water and doing plenty of walking helped but sometimes I feel there’s a limit to how much water one can drink !1 -
A definite yes @bluehoneybee you’re not alone the stronger urine smell does annoy me. Worst part is i have a prolapse so have to wear the tena pads which I hate, i change several time a day. I can smell it and often wonder who else can.I haven’t found a fix for it yet. If anyone has one let us in on the secret.1
