New research

An Alzheimers researcher in Utah has had what she considers very significant success in eradicating Alzheimers in mice (no, don't ask how the mice got it!) by using an existing drug - Paclitaxel!

Fingers crossed.

And given I disliked Paclitaxel more than A/C, I'm hoping that the exposure might, just might, give my cells a slight edge on not contracting that particular horror!
  • @Afraser - I can only hope that news bring good results as Alzheimer's is terrible for the patient and for family members.
Don't worry, you probably won't know if you get it anyway .....
  • This is an interesting 'watch' too .... tho I know my Grandmother died of a mix of dementia/old age way before 1979 ..... back then, dementia was really considered a part of aging (ohhh they're just getting old - they are away with the fairies ...). But very interesting to listen to this!!

It is a miserable disease, that is for sure  :(
