Hi All
I've been putting together a play list of songs to listen to during chemo/ treatment.  Some help to energise me and others soothe. What's your favourite song or tune that gets you through?

    Hi @Coastiejas
Depends if you want uplifting or sad .
I do recall a similar thread  on here a while ago and “ Hallelujia” was a favourite.
It also depends on your demographic - I am a baby boomer and love the music of my youth .
I love a good ballad and am very partial to Joan Bayez ( especially “ Diamonds and Rust “).
For a change I like a bit of surfing music like Bombora.
I don’t even mind a bit of Taylor Swift.
In essence, just load up things you like and don’t limit yourself to upbeat songs.

    Hi Coastiejas

Slightly belatedly - I put a call out to my friends and asked for motivational songs - I use it when exercising and it is like a hug from the person when it comes on … with a slight 90s grunge leaning perhaps some of these might inspire:

    Bad Medicine - Bon Jovi
    Alive - Pearl Jam
Little Green (red) Bag - The George Baker Selection
Shake it Out - Florence and the Machine
Doctor Worm - They Might be Giants
    Walk - Foo Fighters
I Will Survive - Gloria Gaynor

    Good luck!

    Hi @BelJoy
Thanks for your suggestions...coincidentally I had Bad Medicine and I will survive on my list!
I'll definitely check out the other suggestions!
I've now also started a radiotherapy playlist, although you don't get much time to listen during that!
I like the idea that various songs are like a hug from the person who suggested it!
Thanks @Julez1958 and @adelaide for your suggestions too!

I've got an old ipod in my beat up campervan, @Coastiejas - and have put all my favourite albums on it (Seekers, BeeGees, Beatles, Beach Boys etc - I am very much in a bit of a time warp - anything prior to the 1990s ...) then I set it on 'shuffle', so never know what is coming up next!!   My girlfriend gave me 100+ CDs some years ago ... I need to upload those as well, to listen to them! ;)

@BelJoy ... jump onto the Newly Diagnosed category & tell us a bit of your story to date!!  ;)
