Dcis new diagnosis
Hi, I have been diagnosed with dcis late last year, post biopsy . I was reviewed by a private surgeon who has advised wide open excision and radiation. Surgery booked 15 January.
I went to my hospital appt for some more info and they have suggested an ultrasound prior to surgery.
I see other comments with so much more info in their diagnosis eg hormone etc.
should I be having more tests prior to surgery or is this normal due to diagnosis? Confused? Thanks

- Cath62MemberHi @jodiemc, your biopsy should have all the pathology information to inform treatment. You could ask your Dr for a copy of the report. When they do the surgery more pathology will be done and you can get that information too. Best wishes for your surgery.
