Welcome to our new group in Liverpool NSW. I am looking forward to our first meeting on Tuesday 31st January.

I have no idea what will happen, though am excited to be able to offer this time for a very special group of women.

I believe we are all survivors from the very first moment of diagnosis. It is how we survive that makes the difference to how long we can survive. With family and friends being there to support us, we also need the support and encouragement of our peers - those who have also known the shock of this kind of diagnosis. After talking to a friend's mother on the weekend who was diagnosed six months before me, she said - no one else can understand what we are going through. Only WE know what it is like to suffer with the shock, the treatment and also try to cope with every day life.

She is so right. Only others who have gone through what we have before us, can help those who may go through it in the future. I am certain that those who come along to this group will be among the most supportive of women.

I look forward to meeting you all.
