IMPORTANT: Planned site outage
Hi all,
Just to let you know that there is a major upgrade planned for our IT administration and database system next week, which will affect availability of the website and the online network.
We're trying to keep the down-time as short as possible, but at the moment, it looks like all of the website and online network will be unavailable on TUESDAY MORNING (20 December) between 7.30am and midday.
At this time you will not be able to access the site or the network, or make blog posts or comments. If you try to load the site, you will instead see a 'site unavailable due to maintenance' message. This is because it's important that there is no interaction with the database while it's being upgraded (kind of like when you upgrade your home computer).
I will be able to give you more precise information regarding timing on Monday, but just wanted to give you all some early warning.
